Dr. Hsu is approved by IDPH as the EMS Medical Director. He is responsible for the over all operations of the EMS System . He serves as a member of the Southwestern Illinois EMS System Advisory Committee, Region IV Trauma Advisory Committee, Region IV EMS Medical Director’s Committee, and Region IV EMS Advisory Committee

Mr. Pugh as the Administrive Director collaborates with the EMS Medical Director, EMS System Coordinator, and ED Director on the following:

He assists  with administrative problem-solving for the system as related to the pre-hospital care providers, development and updating of policies and ongoing operations of the EMS system, overseeing budgetary needs the operation of the system.

Mr. Gilbert has been appointed as the EMS System Coordinator by the EMS Medical Director and the EMS Administrative Director, also approved by the Chief of the Illinois Bureau of EMS.

He collaborates with the EMS Medical Director, EMS Adminstrative Director, Department Director, and agencies to ensure Illinois Administrative Codes, and System policies and Standard Operating Guidelines are enforced and upto date.

He is responsible ambulance and non-transport ambulance inspections. These include annual, unannounced, and investigative.

 Reviews and addresses quality assurance issues with the EMS Medical Director, agencies, and individual providers. Makes recommendations to change system policies.

Jay Johns,     EMS Educator

The EMS Educator is responsible for the following:

Keep a current record of students, interview prospective EMT-P students, supervision of student field internships, provide continuing education for EMT-B/I/P and ECRN, coordinate and instruct EMT and EMT-P courses, coordinate and conduct classroom skill labs, coordinate and supervise clinical experience of students, educate field units and the ED on radio/telemetry communication, coordinate texts, syllabi, supplies, and handouts for class.
 Schedule classes and clinical experience for students, communicate on an ongoing basis with the EMS System Coordinator and EMS Medical Director regarding EMS policies/procedures/operations, Assist in the instruction of hospital sponsored ACLS, ITLS, and PALS programs.

Karyn Eisemann, Administrive Assistant

Ms. Eisemann is responsible for tracking EMS data, and coordinates all EMS license renewals. Along with coordination of all International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) courses. She assists in scheduling of Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) debriefings. While ordering and handling restocking of ambulance services for Memorial Hospital Belleville.

The EMS Educator is responsible for the following:
